Hello! My name is Jon Remo, but you can call me Remo.
This is my body of work both professional and personal. You’ll see my work ranges from illustration to graphic design. Please visit my online portfolio here.
Majority of my time is dedicated to art directing various project, community coordinating, and collaborating through exhibitions. I take pride in my profession and the opportunity it presents to connect people through it.
My personal style is a pursuit to understand my Filipino indigenous roots. I often explore the role of the artisan to a warrior culture. As an individual studying both modern and traditional design, it is important I understand my role in this society to perform the best I can.
For interest in my personal work or professional, please contact me wildmandesigntribe@gmail.com
Please feel free to say hello. I am always interested in collaborating with other artists and creatives.
—————————————————————————
I am currently a graphic design student at Columbia College Chicago, expected to graduate in the Fall of 2012. I am the founder and director of Wild Man Design Tribe, where majority of my time is spent coordinating rather than designing.
I had previously working as an in-house designer at The Chronicle, Columbia’s newspaper. Shortly after, I founded a student publication called Chitea Magazine through the Asian American Student Affairs Office at Columbia College. I directed 7 issues celebrating the creative Asian American community of the South loop.
I currently work at Columbia’s Multicultural office, where I have the opportunity to create posters for various campus events. I’m also fortunate to present Blend, an annual art exhibition at Boba Bar Cafe with the Asian Student Organization under the Multicultural Office.
